Volunteer at Operation Honor: Rural Salute NC 26
Operation Honor: Rural Salute NC 26 is a large-scale, family-friendly community event serving rural veterans, service members, and their families across North Carolina.
This one-day event brings together VA claims assistance, healthcare resources, employment connections, nonprofit organizations, local vendors, live music, and a kids’ zone — all in one place. Many rural veterans live far from the services they’ve earned. We bring those services directly to them.
We are seeking dependable, community-minded volunteers to help make the day run smoothly. Volunteer roles may include:
• Event setup and breakdown
• Vendor check-in and support
• Registration assistance
• Parking coordination
• Kids’ area support
• General hospitality and guest support
• Runner and logistics assistance
No military experience is required — just a willingness to serve those who have served and to help create a welcoming, organized environment for veterans and their families.
This is more than an event. It’s a community effort to ensure rural veterans feel seen, supported, and connected.
Join us and be part of something that strengthens veterans, families, and small towns across North Carolina.
